UK-based supply and lifecycle refrigerant gas management specialist A-Gas has announced its appointment of a new Rapid Recovery engineer covering the London and southeast areas of the UK.
Equipped with experience in the HVAC and marine engineering industries, Charlie Lockwood will work to recover refrigerants on behalf of customers from equipment in the refrigeration and HVAC industries.
Emphasising the importance of refrigerant recovery, Lockwood said, “Reclaimed gases are quota free, and refrigerants saved from disposal and returned to the market also reduce raw material usage, energy consumption and unnecessary transport normally associated with virgin production.”
The new hire arrives less than a week after A-Gas was awarded a license to reclaim patented refrigerants R-448A and R-449A – both of which are global warming potential (GWO) fluorinated gas (F-gases).
