The 7th Chinese international exhibition on gases technology, equipment and applications took place in the picturesque city of Hangzhou, Zhejiang. IG China 2005 attracted 160 exhibitors, which appears to be a record yet for the event.
The exhibition also attracted international exhibitors from more than ten countries and regions including France, Germany, UK, US, Singapore and Japan. Many visitors to the three-day event included companies also from the Philippines, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, India and the Middle East.
Household names in the gas business exhibiting were Air Products – who was also the Gold Sponsor to the conference and Linde (both Engineering and Gas). Air Liquide, whilst not exhibiting, was also a Silver Sponsor to the event.
The volume of people over the three days was good. The event was attended by nearly 4000 visitors. At a banquet held on the evening of the opening day, Mr Sun – General Secretary of Chinese Industrial Gas Industries Association (CIGIA) warmly welcomed all guests to IG China 2005 and was especially kind in his words to the international exhibitors, especially those present for the first time.
