Hydrogen as a clean energy has been promoted in China in recent years, while other developed countries have already set up and are expanding their hydrogen infrastructure. China is now allocating efforts to catch up.
The ‘Energy Development Strategy Action Plan 2014-2020’ promulgated by the State Council and the ‘Energy Technology Revolution and Innovation Action Plan 2016-2030’ by the National Development and Reform Commission have both listed hydrogen power and fuel cells as one of the directions of major energy technology innovation. And one of the major developments we can easily observe is the setting up of hydrogen towns.
