In the Southeast US, the usual major players dominate the industrial gases market, serving sectors including automotive, aerospace, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, food and drink, and consumer goods, as well as mainstays like metal cutting and welding.
The region also has a thriving electronics industry, particularly in states such as Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina. Industrial gases like nitrogen and argon find applications in semiconductor manufacturing, electronics assembly, and other hi-tech processes that require clean and controlled environments.
The region is unusual in that its boundaries are not quite settled and different interpretations apply. But for our purposes the Southeast means the states of Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia, and Alabama.
