Servomex, a world expert in gas analysis with headquarters in the United Kingdom, is expanding its US operations in Woburn, Massachusetts.
In the last seven years, Servomex has tripled the size of its worldwide operations. Fifty percent of this has been through organic growth and 50 percent through acquisitions. Demand for Servomex products is being driven by increased automation requiring sophisticated and reliable sensing technology and by increasingly higher standards and requirements for ultra high purity (UHP) gases, particularly in semiconductor manufacturing processes.
Part of Servomex’s recent expansion included the 2010 purchase of US-based Delta F Corporation of Woburn, Massachusetts, a company with a reputation for designing and manufacturing some of the best sensor technology in the world. Manufacturing, designing, and servicing this type of equipment requires highly skilled professionals and engineers.
With an eye toward serving the expanding high tech and laboratory markets in the US and around the world, Servomex has decided to locate its Industrial Gas (IG) manufacturing unit in Massachusetts, a state which offers the company both the talent pool it requires to design and build their state-of-the-art analyzers and the geographic proximity to many of the markets these products are sold into. Specialty Gas Report was invited to take a tour of the Woburn facility, which is now Servomex’s Americas Technical Center and its primary manufacturing and service facility for Delta F products.
