Precision Hose & Expansion Joints is a privately owned company established in 1991 by the Wright family but with roots dating back to the 1950s in making flexible metal products. Precision began as a strip-wound metal hose company before adding corrugated metal hose, metal expansion joints, and later fabric expansion joints to its product offering.
Its 125 years of experience have made Precision an expert in flexible metal corrugated hose assemblies, bulk metal hose and wire braid, strip wound metal hose, and metal expansion joints. From offering mass spectrometer-tested hoses to the cryogenic industry to coastguard-approved hoses to shipyards, Precision strives to offer a competitively priced, US-manufactured, high-quality product. Precision’s current application base includes medical applications, aerospace, oil and gas, petrochemicals, power generation, steel, cement, wastewater, pulp and paper, and more, through its established base of over 500 distributors.
These markets are all served out of the company’s two locations: in Stone Mountain, Georgia, and Baytown, Texas. The Stone Mountain plant was built in 2000 and after several additions now has 115,000 square feet, but, following strong demand, the company last year opened a 28,000 sq ft facility in Texas to support operations.
Before this opening, Precision had served the Houston market for over 10 years as a metal hose manufacturer and bulk hose warehouse. All told, the company has 140 employees – a number that only continues to grow!
