Healthcare makes up approximately one-sixth of the US economy and impacts everyone directly as we all have health care needs.
Hospitals, homecare, out-patient surgical care facilities, nursing homes, and ambulances all provide medical care while industrial gas companies, pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, and others support the healthcare field by providing life-giving gases, equipment, and drugs to support medical care. Healthcare is driven by medical care, one of life’s necessities.
The healthcare market for industrial gases continued to grow at a moderate pace this year. The US, which spends more on healthcare as a percentage of real gross domestic product than any other country, has managed to reign in healthcare expenses in 2016 and 2017, but is predicted to spend at a faster rate going forward driven by new healthcare legislation providing healthcare for all.
