Equipment manufacturer Gas Control Equipment (GCE) is encouraging the gas industry to maximise the operational efficiencies newly available in extended packaged gases equipment periodicity.
The Swedish company is keen to do whatever it can to enable members of the gas industry to maximise the efficiencies offered in the updated and extended ISO packaged gas cylinder test periods.
From 2017, European Legislation BS EN ISO 18119 permits the test period for high pressure seamless steel and some aluminium cylinders to be extended from 10 to 15 years, provided that a Residual Pressure Valve (RPV) is installed in the cylinder, to maintain the integrity of both cylinder itself and its contents.
