The medical gas market has undergone a major change in the last three years, a fact shared by all operators in the sector. Covid-19 has created unexpected increases in the consumption of medical gases and in particular, medical oxygen.
Many hospitals have had to increase the capabilities of vaporizer systems to withstand production flows while many others, especially in the most remote areas, far from the cryogenic gas supply circuits, have rightly resorted to PSA systems.
Alongside these significant changes, comes a substantial change in the perception of the importance of telemetry systems. Having reliable data on consumption trends, in available stocks of liquid and compressed gases, has determined – and continues to determine – the availability of a medicinal product, such as medical oxygen, continuously.
