With company headquarters in Helena, Montana, McDantim Inc. is constantly looking forward to the industry it works hard to serve. With its start in Northridge, California by aerospace engineer Mert Fallon, McDantim’s technological basis has greatly impacted the beer industry by providing a product that maintains the quality of beer during its dispense from keg to glass.
Fallon saw the need for a gas blender that could remedy the carbonation problems plaguing the beer industry. Existing options for draught beer dispense at the time were limited to compressed air, 100% CO2, or premixed gas cylinders, which impacted the carbonation level of the beer, leaving it flat or over carbonated.
Fallon continued developing products, like the Flow Control Valve (FCV), which improved the performance of nitrogen generators/separators that are used in the beer industry. McDantim’s sister company Beverage Systems Limited, opened in 1990 and supplied blenders, FCVs, and other equipment to the Calor company in the UK.
