Such is the wider momentum of these two strands – the rise of LNG as a clean fuel and the continuing advance in digital capabilities – that these trends will likely endure in the cylinder business for some time. Indeed, there is a demonstrable and fast increasing movement towards innovation in packaged gases products, with new, performance-based, lightweight materials allied with new digital-based approaches in the design and integration of vital components like valves and regulators.
