Fill plants represent the indispensable bottom line in the beginning of the distribution supply chain, invaluably supporting the packaged gases business.
According to gasworld Business Intelligence, packaged gases represented roughly 41% of the world’s total industrial gas market sales in 2015. That amounts to around $29bn – a large slice of worldwide industry revenues.
All sorts of technologies are needed to make a fill plant tick: vaporizers, cryogenic tanks, liquid filling system, analysers to test mixtures, control equipment such as cryogenic and high-pressure valves, manifolds, flow meters, leak testing equipment, the cylinders themselves, hoses, and it goes on – the list is extensive.
