Holston Gases has big plans to double its dry ice business and expand its distributor-to-distributor interactions. Molly Burgess speaks to President Joe Baxter about the story so far
Onsite dry ice production is becoming more popular with industrial gas distributors in the US. It’s a business segment that Tennessee’s Holston Gases is investing in as this year it looks to double its production capacity to two million pounds per month.
“We began dry ice production in Knoxville at our headquarters, then expanded to the Tri-Cities area in Tennessee, then into Nashville, Tennessee and Louisville, Kentucky, followed by Decatur, Alabama and a few more,” Joe Baxter, President of Holston Gases tells gasworld. “We’ve been adding one facility a year for nearly 10 years now, and we expect to continue on a similar growth trajectory from here.”
