The sparks were truly flying at the FABTECH International & AWS Welding Show this year. Some 22,000 visitors arrived at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, November 2–4 to experience the latest manufacturing innovations and discuss industry issues. Filling nearly 371,000 square feet of booth space, the three-day show included 1,138 exhibitors and the unveiling of more than 500 new products.
The annual event is the largest tradeshow in North America dedicated to showcasing a full spectrum of metal forming, fabricating, welding, stamping, tube and pipe, and finishing equipment and technology. Two prominent industry trade shows, the FABTECH International & AWS Welding Show joined alliances in 2005. In 2008 the METALFORM trade show came on board. All three shows in their own right have brought millions of buyers and sellers together from around the world. The union of these three shows with the expansion into finishing technology created the current FABTECH.
