Fuel cell applications are showing up everywhere. From data centers to animation studios, these systems are powering all kinds of businesses. The US plays a leading role in fuel cell technology development and manufacturing, an industry now valued at $1.6bn in the US (DOE).
A recent report by Argonne National Laboratory (ANL), titled The business case for fuel cells: delivering sustainable value, details the growing list of application areas. For the industrial gas industry, new applications for fuel cells, particularly in material handling and back-up power markets, represent opportunities for growth.
