Carbon dioxide (CO2) enrichment is a critical component for indoor growers. Whether you are a greenhouse, indoor gardener or hydroponic grower, you know the benefit of increased carbon dioxide levels for plant growth. CO2 is as critical a component in creating the perfect growing environment as light, soil, and water. Creating the ideal conditions for photosynthesis are no longer considered “rocket science”.
While different variations of crops respond to different maximum CO2 levels, Bruce Kimball of the US Department of Agriculture said, , “Doubling CO2 from outdoor air levels to 800 parts per million (ppm), results in an average of one-third greater improvement in plant growth and productivity.”
