Billings, Montana-based Computers Unlimited (CU) was founded in 1978 by Dr. Michael Schaer and is an independent software company that designs and develops niche solutions, with a notable strength in supporting industrial gas distributors.
After a decade of working closely with CU’s software development teams, David Schaer became the company president in 2009. In this role, he guides the company in creating solutions tailored to meet customers’ specific needs.
Over the past three years, CU has achieved record organic growth in new system sales, in upgrades to existing enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and in data consultation projects that onboard new customers. Today, the company has over 170 employees and provides software and service solutions along with support to all of its customers.
