When the air we breathe is filled with harmful levels of gases and particulates, the risk of respiratory problems, premature death and other chronic diseases rises considerably. According to the World Health Organization, approximately 4.2 million premature deaths each year can be attributed to ambient air pollution from burning fossil fuels.
As carbon emissions continue to grow, we are in the fight of our lives to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement and avert irreversible damage to the planet.
