In retail terms, you’d consider it an amazing “two-for-one” sale or a “buy one/get one” bargain. It represents a $1,600 value (if you had to pay in real dollars), but it’s many times worth that amount in terms of the plethora of timely, relevant, and applicable information on standards and safety measures you get that are specific to the compressed gases industry.
“It” refers to the CGA subscription program. The program consists of the more than 300 Compressed Gas Association (CGA) publications that are the essence of the standards the industry adheres to and goes by.
Ordinarily, you’d have to pay out-of-pocket to access the regulatory alerts, updates and up-to-the minute publications the program offers on a variety of industry issues. However, it’s all yours free of charge when you join the Gases and Welding Distributors Association (GAWDA). Those CGA documents and publications are readily downloadable to your computer after you become a GAWDA distributor member.
