When the Calvera Group was founded over six decades ago in Zaragoza, Spain, its aim was to provide the most efficient transport and storage solutions for compressed, high-pressure gases.
That vision became more than a reality and to this day, the company integrates all processes for the manufacture of transport and storage of high-pressure compressed gas including engineering, design, manufacturing and international certification.
But after an initial focus on the industrial gas sector when it was founded in 1954, the company has since diversified its activities to cater for increasing demands. As a result, the group is now split into three divisions: Calvera Industrial Gases; Calvera Gas Technology, focused on CNG and biogas applications; and Calvera Hydrogen. The industrial gas sector is still the biggest revenue stream for the company though, with Calvera confirming that approximately 60% of sales are still conducted through its traditional business line.
