Bulk and specialty gases: Advances in instrumentation and control

0

Industrial gases, used in many  applications to optimise production and control product quality, are typically divided into the bulk and specialty gas sub-groups.

Bulk gases have a variety of applications, including metals manufacturing, medical, biotechnology, food and beverage. The most common bulk gases, nitrogen, oxygen and argon, are produced in  air separation units (ASU).

Specialty gases are defined as high purity gases for specific applications, and the specialty gases market is currently experiencing strong growth due to a demand in key applications like LED lighting/flat panel display production, semiconductor chip manufacturing, petrochemical production, and the calibration of analytical instrumentation.
