2022’s US Inflation Reduction Act means the US is leading the way when it comes to driving the major clean energy projects that sit at the heart of the worldwide energy transition targeting Net Zero by 2050. It has also taken a lead over the past 18 months in producing and distributing liquified natural gas to plug the gap left by Russia’s pariah status as an energy supplier with its invasion of Ukraine early last year.
But with all the activity and projects stateside, it is worth reminding ourselves that there are substantial and striking projects going on all around the world – not just in clean energy but across all parts of the industrial gases space. The most notable projects are using game-changing technologies or are at a scale never before seen.
There is much to be learned from these projects, whether in North America or beyond, so here’s our look at some stand-out, future-facing schemes from all over the world as well as closer to home.
