Hydrogen tube trailers are trucks that haul compressed, high-pressure gaseous hydrogen contained in long cylinders (or tubes) stacked or clustered on a trailer.
Another term for tube trailers is ‘bulk gas transports’. Heavy-duty (Class A) trucks haul these trailers from gas-production plants to customer facilities, including the growing number of hydrogen vehicle filling stations along ‘hydrogen highways’ in Western Europe, Scandinavia, the US and Japan.
In addition to vehicle service, gaseous hydrogen is used in a wide variety of industrial and military applications. Gas deliveries often include filling stationary tanks or other tube trailers at various customer locations.
