In a climate where finding the right employees can be a struggle, South Dakota-based A-OX Welding says it is focused on retaining employees while still eyeing growth opportunities. 

The family-run industrial gas distributor has seven branch locations across South Dakota, North Dakota, and Iowa, plus an air separation unit (ASU) through the Absolute Air venture, and a specialty gas laboratory, which opened in 2015. But with plans to grow even more, it is determined to win the workforce battle. 

“We’re feeling the challenge when it comes to getting employees,” Tiffany Anderson, Vice-President of Administration at A-OX Welding, and one of four children of President Kelly Kleinwolterink, tells gasworld.
