A good many industrial-gas distributor businesses across the US are proudly family-owned and community-oriented, but only few today have gone further and embraced employee ownership.
CK Supply, headquartered in St Louis, Missouri, is one of that still select but growing group. Two years ago, it established an employee stock ownership plan – ESOP, for short – with 49% of the stock going to 130-plus established employees.
