There will be lots of time to tend to the impressive botanical gardens that thrive on the five acres that surround his home, and there will be domestic and international travel with his wife and business partner of almost 50 years.
But there will also be time in retirement for Jack Marrin to reflect on a 43-year career as an innovative specialty gas man.
Scott-Marrin, Inc., was founded in 1974 by Jack Marrin and physicist Bill Scott. But in November, the company – which has over the decades pioneered many innovations in the blending and analysis of gas mixtures – was acquired by Praxair.
