The city of Jönköping, Sweden will be the international bioenergy focal point when it hosts the 5th biennial World Bioenergy Conference May 29–31, 2012. Organized by the Swedish Bioenergy Association (SVEBIO) and Elmia, the overall purpose of this conference is to promote the implementation of bioenergy technologies.
SVEBIO, with over 300 member companies, organizes conferences and publishes informational materials on bioenergy with the goal of increasing awareness and the use of bioenergy as a sustainable energy system. Bioenergy is energy derived from organisms such as wood, grass, or algae. Elmia is an exhibitor service in the Nordic region.
