Growing up in the industrial gas business, being surrounded by cylinders, trailers and tanks may seem like an unusual way to spend one’s childhood, but for Abydee Butler Moore, President of Butler Gas Products Company, she would not have it any other way.
“I grew up around the business and at industry functions,” Butler Moore said. “I have worked at Butler Gas for as long as I can remember, coming in during the summer, weekends with my dad, and days off from school.”
Butler Moore’s involvement in her family business along with her career driven attitude has helped to shape her into one of the most successful female figures in the industry today, and her story certainly proves that a childhood shaped around industrial gas is not a boring one.
