IGD develops, manufactures, and markets a complete range of gas detection products designed to protect you against gas hazards in industrial, research, and commercial applications, offering a comprehensive service from consultancy to system design, plus installation and aftercare.
Our story began in 1917 with Henry Ringrose and the founding of the world’s first gas detection company. Over 100 years later, the company’s goal remains the same: to keep you safe by continuously improving our pioneering technology.
Today we make detectors for over 700 gases and vapors at our purpose-built facility in Stockport in the UK, where total control of the manufacturing process means total control of the delivered product. From our control panels to our detectors, decals and PCB components, everything is manufactured in-house so we can guarantee quality.
