Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is now being produced at Train 6 of Cheniere Energy Partners’ Sabine Pass liquefaction facility in Cameron Parish, Louisiana.
Announcing the first production on Tuesday (23rd Nov), Cheniere Energy said substantial completion of Train 6 is expected to be achieved in the first quarter of 2022, approximately one year ahead of the guaranteed completion date.
Once substantial completion is achieved, Bechtel Energy will transfer the completed train to Cheniere Partners, resulting in Sabine Pass’ total production capacity hitting approximately 30 million tonnes of LNG annually.
