Leading industrial gases producer Air Products is providing hydrogen and refuelling infrastructure as part of a two-week trial for a zero carbon transport network in the Peak District National Park, UK.
The trial aims to explore the suitability of both fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV) and electric vehicles (EV) to be used in the area, marking the first time FCEV’s and EV’s have been trialled together in the UK.
Supplied by Toyota, the buses will run along a route that connects eight key locations and attractions including Chesterfield Train Station, Chatsworth, and the Gateway development, which will act as a hub for ‘PEAK Express’ when it is due to open in 2025.
